My friends 99 Prelude keeps getting a check engine light for random misfire of pistons #1 and #2. We changed distributor, cap and rotor, spark plugs, and spark plug wires. Does any one have a clue what could be causing this? thanks

thanks for the manual download however, Im looking for someone with a quicker response rather then having to read and search for a problem that Im sure is pretty common.

So if anyone else would like to help out just give me your opinion on why we are still getting these codes after resetting the ecu. What could be causing a random misfire for cylinder #1 and #2?

I gave you the page to start the process. When you turn to that page and find the code, it'll give you another page. You go there and start the troubleshooting procedure. There's no real searching that is required. Just follow the directions.

I understand you believe this to be a common problem, but it's not. No one is going to be able to guess the answer for you. Troubleshooting is the only option.
