Check Engine light
Hey all,
As I was driving in first gear (5spd), a lil rough but not into VTEC, the Check Engine light popped on. The car is 98 Prelude w/ 130k babied miles from the original owner. The car is practically flawless, oil is filled and I believe most maintenance if not all is up to date. Any Idea what it could be? I am actually selling the car and this light just came on. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

is right.
but to the OP: try the pin connector and see if there's a code thats stored. even though autozone didn't pull it up, it could just be that theyre stupid. i mean what do you have to lose from checking for yourself?

Totally agree. The people I come across in these Auto Zone/ Pep boys stores seem to be plain old brain dead. I remember one time I went in and bought an altenator, then went out in the parking lot and changed it right there, and all they did was just stare at me the whole time. Strange place.
Try another auto zone store

Just jump the service connector. You dont need a scan tool, just use a paper clip and count the blinks.
