Sea Foam
Just kidding, I had the same issues when I foamed my car. I pulled and cleaned the O2 sensor, and used some techron gas for a while and it eventually stopped popping up.

after i replaced my O2 sensor i got code 43 also it comes on if the car is started cold once it warms up. If you turn the car off and back on again it doesnt come back on and from doing that my gas milage is the same. In the service manual it states that it is most likely a wiring problem and they give a flow chart on how to fix the problem but i havent gotten around to it yet.

When I used a Bosch replacement o2 I still got the code. Once I switched to the Ntk the code went away. Just be careful what O2 sensor you get or it might not fix the problem.

43 can be a few things; it's the catch-all fuel code.

On my last motor, I would occasionally get 43 out of nowhere, but it drove fine and would go away for a long time if I reset it. If i tuned the VAFC's narrow-throttle settings and it threw the code as well.

My new motor is throwing it now, and it sounds like an injector cutting out when I give it gas. The manual says it can be bad gas, an injector, or the FPR. I've also heard of the fuel filter causing this problem.

Go figure.
