Well boys I have a 99 Prelude and I'm throwing a multiple cylinder misfire on cylinders 1, 2, and 3.

So I did the obvious - went with a little injector cleaner, replaced spark plugs and plug wires, replaced the distributor cap and rotor. But, that cel just kept on truckin..

I was first told by a buddy it may be the egr valve but the car runs and idles damn near perfect so I doubt that's the issue. Another told me it's the distributor which may be a logical explanation. My gas mileage has decreased pretty dramatically as well, however.

Any thoughts? I need help because it's not going be a cheap fix either way and I don't want to do more than what's necessary.

 

Check the spark plugs and see what they tell you. Also do u notice ur car misfiring at certain times,all the time, or not at all?

 

it doesn't misfire at all that's why i'm so confused over the issue. i continute to throw the code yet my car runs what seems to be perfect.. i'm definitely at a loss for ideas so any that can be given will be much appreciated!
