CEL code 90..keeps coming on and on

CEL code 90..keeps coming on and on
90 P1457 EVAP Emission Control System Leak Detected (Control Canister System)
I first noticed them problem when i removed my broken cruise control. I took the hoses and the evap emission control system, and plugged it back in. I reattached all the harnesses. So everything is still there except for the cruise control flying saucer thing. I don't know why the CEL keeps coming up. It comes up like once a month. When i reset it, it'll go away until the next month.
