I drove a 98 SH at Ford dealership today. When I was driving, the two lights came on. The salesman said that they steamcleaned the engine bay and that something probably got wet. He said the lights weren't on when it came in and up till this point. It was nearing closing time so he said he'd get it checked on Monday. What do you guys think?

a car lot cannot sell a car that is not street legal. and if a check engine light is on, then technically it cannot pass emissions and is therefor not street legal. they have to fix it before they can sell it. you could try this approach when you talk to him on monday.

they probably just got water in a connector, if its still on on monday, just get the readout and see what it says, they either just need to let it dry out or they burnt a sensor or something.....
the atts light and cel go hand in hand, there is most likely nothing wrong with the atts
let us know what the code is on monday, if there still is one
