CC headers right after installation
I had a set of Jet-hot coated headers on a truck i had and they smelled for about a week after i installed them. The smell will take a wee or so and it'll go away.
what kind of odor is it? I just recently put a set of DC stainless headers on that I had Ceramic Coated and havent noticed anything smell wise. Although its most likely a different knid of coating...
the smell will go away after a week or so, like he said.
It's just a coating that burns off, ignore it unless you see a CEL, or your car just runs like ***.

Joon the smell should only last for about a week depending on if you drive you car everyday or not. A few long distance runs on the highway and you shouldn't smell anything any more.
RaceSi I wanted to know how the Jet-Hot coating held up ? I currently have a Mugen SS header that I feel I spent too much money for but I'd like it to keep it's new and expensive lustre by getting the Jet-Hot sterling coating. I'm just wondering if the coating will stay nice and shinny and how long it will keep looking like that ??
