cat...??
well i recently recieved a new block from honda in my 5th gen lude.. Everything was going good until i noticed that my check engine light was back on once again.. so i brought it back from honda and they told me that my cat and my o2 sensor was shot due to the 5 quarts of oil blowing through the exhaust after i burned a hole in my piston.. i talked to honda today and they told me that they would replace my o2 sensor and not the cat because honda just won't warranty it.. so my questiuon is if i get a high flow cat will it pass inspection and will my check engine light still be on.
and whats the best high flow cat for my car..? Thanks for your time...

If your block was replaced under warranty...then Hond ais supposed to warranty ALL damage caused by the mishap.
If the block was not under warranty then I would buy a high flow cat. I got my Carsound cat from http://www.testpipe.com. I got mine for $115 shipped to me with both flanges welded on it.
Your car should pass the Emissions check still.

What's their exact reason why they're not going to warranty your cat? At the dealership, some service advisors can be more helpful than others. Maybe talk to the service manager. Or even another dealership.
I'm guessing that they'll try to categorize it under normal wear and tear. But you've got to prove that the cat was damaged due to engine malfunctions.
Just try to get one of the advisors to admit it.
If you get the O2 sensor replaced, they will reset the check engine light. But if your cat is fouled up, the O2 sensor will throw another light at you within a couple of days.
