Just thought i would ask here first before i go out side and start messing around lol, My 94 jdm si 2.2 F22B dohc preludes brake discs are in need of a serious change, very bad wobbling under braking, these discs are 260mm i belive,
i have a jdm 2.2 si vtec here also, i was wondering would the calipers be a staright swap so i can use the 282mm discs?

no there are actually different sizes it willnt work correctly

 

It might work if you swap over the main bracket.

 

if you do swap you would need to swap the rotors also because different sizes to it also

 

Yeah if you have a Vtec model to pull from, just take the calipers, mounting brackets, and rotors all at once. Make sure you are running wheels that will clear them as well.

 

nice one man, i have everything there its just im buying new discs (rotors) and id rather buy the 282mm for better braking, plus i will be doing the engine swap come summer so it will save me buying new discs again, the weather over here is horrible to do any work

 

Well i went out today and measured things up before i ordered discs and pads, looks like i dont need the carrier, the caliper itself will bolt straight up

Although carriers can be swapped, everything matches up perfect, so ill just swap the calipers probalby.
