starting to gather parts to build my 97 lude. not sure what bottom end i should go with, h22 or h23 or how much i should bore it. i plan on going 3 angle valve job with a mm over on the valves but my main goal is to jrsc it. looking for the good and the bad or even suggestions for where i should start.

If you want to overbore more than .25mm over, you'll have to sleeve the motor. Oversized valves will not likely do a lot for you.

 

yea here is where im starting lol. im just figuring while the head is going to be ported and all that i might as well do the valves while its apart. not sure what to run for cams either. would like to keep it close to a dd. not sure what bore size either.....

 

choose your cams before you put the rest of the build together. They are the HEART of a package.

You mean THE POWER is in the HEAD? Theres nothing special about some bore/stroke setup?

 

yea i want a good lift but i dont want it to sound like its gona die when i roll up to a red light. gona buy a H22A4 bare block this weekend so that i dont have to worry about my ATTS.
