Oh snap! That's some crazy damage! How the heck did you break a rod?

I think that block can be repaired by sleeving. Inspect the block carefully for cracks. Good luck.

The oil squirter of obviously toast. Sleeves will repair the cylinder walls, but won't repair that damage to the very bottom side of the block. You could probably smooth that out with a cartidge roll fairly easily.

First thing I'd do is take the block to a machine shop to have it hot tanked and inspected for cracks.

mine was in worse shape then that, just make sure the mains are not scared. The water jacket on a h22 is pretty far away so you don't have to worry there.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA That made me laugh out loud, literally!!

What are your plans for the engine?

I guess your options are fairly open. You could go with an F22/F23 bottomend, H23 block, or an H22 block/shortblock.

If it was me, I would go with the H22 head on an F23 bottomend.
