Default Blinker problems

Last night my blinkers stopped working. Neither the outside lights or the dash signals turn on, and the "clicker" also doesn't work. The strange thing is, is that the hazards do work though. Ive checked the fuse box under the hood and to the left of the drivers feet and they all look good. I could really use some suggestions about whats wrong, and the car its on is a 97 prelude base model.

Really sounds like a fuse. Check fuses with multimeter, sometimes they can look good when they actually are not.

also try the flasher itself.

by outside lights, you mean just the turn signals, correct?

then i would say the flasher itself.

Yes i mean the turn signals. Is there a way i can test the flasher, and is it the unit right above the fuse box next to the drivers feet?

not sure of the location, but on most vehicles, it is near the interior fuse box. i don't know for sure if they can be tested, but they can be purchased at even gas stations, and i think they're only like 5 bucks.

Ok i pulled the flasher unit shown in the picture.

Then i took it apart to see if i could see and visible damage.

I didnt see any damage but it did have that burnt electronics smell to it.

Being as its christmas eve no stores are open but i found it online here http://www.slhondaparts.com/br...0-013, which is $50 not $5. The only thing though now is that the hazards dont work with this out, so if this was broken would the hazards still work?

check to see if your hazard lights are working, cause that switch is what controls the signals.

50 dollars is ridiculous. i went to autozone and it was definitely less then 10 bucks including tax. and seeing as your blinkers dont work now i think you have the same problem as me and you may need the new blinker switch with the handle and all.

There may be two different circuits built into that flasher. I'm putting my money on it's just a bad flasher. And yea 50 bucks is crazy. I would pay no more than $12

So i went to o'rielly's auto parts, and advance auto parts, and the only "flasher" they had was about half the size of the one i took out and only had 3 pins and they werent in the right position. Not sure what to do, anyone know where i could get one for prett cheap.

I'm 70% positive you need the new turn signal unit.
