Ok here is the story

i was detailing the inside of my car "shining everything up" and i hit the turn signal, no big deal, i left it alone. I leaned over from the driver seat to wipe the other side of the car and i hit the hazard button and my whole dash starts to flash.
I immediately turned it off and then turned of my signal to try it again and it was normal wierd.

Aside, if the turn signal is off and the haz signal is on, its normal. If the turn signal is on and the haz is on, my whole dash starts to flash

freaked out by this situation i got curious and started to wonder if my IGNITION IS HOT from this problem.

After a test drive up the street i drove to 2nd gear turned my car off and turned the signal and haz on and in 3rd gear poped the clutch and my car started right up.

after parking my car i noticed that my haz button was smokin so i pulled my battery cable and immediately took it out.

Im freaked out by this whole situation

what are some probable causes
