Big Annoying Problem
Im hoping someone can help me with this! I have a rattling noise coming from my headers area when I go around 3k RPMs, and im almost certain its this small tin piece that looks like a heat sheild between my headers and engine block. But I fear the only way to remove it is to take off the headers. Any ideas? Is there a way around the headers? Do I really need this piece? '92 Prelude Si H23A I hate having people look at my car weird when Im driving! Thanks!
I don't know anyway around pulling that piece unles you remove the header. I pulled several ex headers off, with no problems. I have done it by hand, and with airtools. Just make sure you use the right sockets. Worst case scenerio, you have to pay an exhaust shop to do it. If you were local I would do it for free, an exhaust shop would probably do it for 40 bucks or less.
yep. i have that problem too. whenver i accelerate.. RIGHT before i hit 3k rpm it makes a rattling noise and it goes away after i pull past 3k rpm. i posted on this b4.. and other people have too. i fixed all the leaks. let me know if you get it fixed it what the problem was. damn header. ahhah ty
im about to get a custom exhaust setup put on my Si anyways so ill just have them take care of the problem while they have it in the shop. hopefully this will fix the problem.
