Default Best Header

Im looking to replace my OEM header. Who makes the best header for the 5th Gen and where can I get a good price on one. I've heard that Greddy makes a good header but I've never seen one for the 5th Gen anywhere. Any help would be much appreciated.

Mugen and SMSP....

Mugen is $975 and I would say good supply
SMSP...not sure on the price but on limited production.....i think 10 units per run....not really too sure.....he'll probally make more of them tho....but I believe they are more expensive than Mugen

You can get Mugen for http://www.kingmotorsports.com
You can get SMSP or find info on it on here....search under the user name SMSP

I myself have the Mugen, I love it.....but I would like to give you a bit of advice.....if you do decide to go with either the Mugen or SMSP....heck any header for that matter...be sure to get a high flow cat or test pipe to get the most from the header....since the stock cat is very restrictive....check with local laws at your own caution

MugenPoweredLude:

What exhaust do you have? And how did the straight pipe effect the exhaust note after you installed the straight pipe?

i dont have a straight pipe

i have a high flow cat

it made my exhaust deeper at low RPM's and after 4K its just mean sounding...i like it
it also gave me a bit quicker throttle response

I have the greddy header for the 5th gen lude. There was no significant increase in power down low but high end its nice. Contact jdmdxturd if you want one. He owns thrust motorsports out of Nashville, and they do great business.

SMS header is about $1200.

I have the mugen header and mugen cat back, with iceman CAI and a random tech cat. I did a dyno run before and after all the mods. The gain was +30hp at the wheels. Just an FYI.

THAT's a nice gain for bolt-ons! Too much $$$ for me, though

Do a search on DNR, SVP or Danny Tran (here on the site). when it comes to headers.

Trust me.
