Bent Valves?
I've searched about bent valves. And as far as I've come up with, Over-reving and mishifting (which is also like over-reving it) causes bent valves.
My question is if my valves weren't adjusted correctly to begin with would reving to 7000rpm cause them to get bent. I had a new h22a1 put in (most of the parts were re-machined, etc, not a used motor) because my old one hydrolocked and I haven't really opened my new engine up. Would I have bent the valves with regular driving if they weren't adjusted correctly? Or would reving and shifting at 7000rpm cause any damage?
I'll probably end up getting a compression test, just would like some input.
