Im alittle confused on the wiring for this. Do you just ground it to the rear strut tower and run a power line to the starter ? How would it work with the alternator ?
Also what are any safety concerns for doing this ?
And for drag racing would this hurt performance by taking the weight outta the front end and moving it to the rear ?

Ground it to the chassis somewhere in the rear. The wire that goes up front needs to be split- one wire to the starter, the other to the engine compartment fuse box.
The alternator is hooked up to the engine harness, no modifications needed.
The decrease in weight up front could effect your launching traction some, whether it will be significant is doubtful.

another thing to keep in mind in reguards to your original post (you mentioned drag racing)
With the battery relocated in the trunk most (if not all) tracks will require you to have an externaly mounted kill switch on the back of the car.
Now with that in mind, you only need one taillight at the track. so what you can do is mount a switch underneath one of your taillights so with the light in place it doesnt show... then take the taillight off at the track.

i don't think relocating the battery will really move that much weight to the rear.
Also what drap strip is going to check and see if the battery is in the front or rear of the car. Battery kill switches are on high powered cars for safety reasons, don't see much reason for one on a lower powered car.

Would something like this be allowed ?

Along with the battery switch.

Yeah, most tracks want it to be securely attached & have a kill switch when there is not a "firewall" between you & the battery. An item like that is specifically made to secure the battery so it should be ok as long as there is something that is securely holding the battery down (hard to tell from the pic).
