allright, my dad has a friend who was the head mechanic at a Subaru dealership and has worked at honda shops before. he worked on his sons 98 prelude sh alot.

he offered to do a tuneup for me this friday-saturday
said he'd do the following and for me to find other stuff that needs to be done...

valve adjustment
spark plugs
spark plug wires
gas filter
distributor cap
rotor button

anything else you can can think of that should be done? (intake is new so no need for air filter yet)...

or replace it completely with one of those filters to vent it to the atmosphere...unless you have to worry about emissions.
