basic questions
Hello all, I recently bought a 97 prelude base and have a couple questions. I have done some reading and searching before i posted.
First, I read different places calling the engine different models all based around h22 (h22a1,h22a4 etc.) What is the difference and are parts interchangeable between.
Second this may be open for flaming but this seems to be a pretty respectabe site so I hope for the best. However I have searched with out receiving any good answers.
I am looking to get a little more out of my power particularly low end. even though it goes pretty well now who doesn't want a little more?
Now, with that said adding a true CAI and a set of ebay headers is there any noticeable gain to be made. I'm not in it for racing and numbers dont mean much but when all is said and done when I take it for the first run when its done am I going to say. "Wow! That was worth a couple hundred bucks and a couple hours out of my Sunday." Thats what im looking for.
Also I read about a member adding a 2.5" collector to an inexpensive header and yeilding some results. Will this mod still bolt up to factory exhaust?
I appreciate any feedback. I hope to be here a while and can add a lot of expertise in the field of car audio and mobile electronics in general. So feel free to ask about anything. Thank you.

read the faq for answers about different h22's
when you search, be sure to check recent threads and archived threads.
a real CAI will gain slight power over stock, but nothing too noticeable other than the sound. Ebay headers are just that....copies of the Dc sports header and mass produced by 10 year olds in a factory located in Taiwan. Keep the stock header and polish the heat shield if you want some "bling". You gotta pay for headers that actually make power.
