Hi! I'm new here. I'm trying to find someone who knows the significance of gold Honda badges. I bought my Prelude used, it was a lease turn in. I was told the gold badges were stock but have been unable to find anyone who knows if they have any meaning. Can anyone out there help me?

I dont know what gen your prelude is but i believe gold badges were an option on 4th and 5th gen preludes in some countries. Basically just a choice for the original buyer, just like trim colours etc. If you do a search by clicking the red Search button at the top right of screen you will definately find more info.

 

yes it was a trim option....supposedly supposed to look better but i would have to go with the aluminum colored personally!

 

I believe gold badges on a prelude classifies the prelude as a se edition.

gold looks really gay unless you have other gold accessories

Who you try'n to be, ol dirty bastard? LOL jk of course, but yeah, It looks gay in my opinion. On some older accords I've seen gold emblems aswell and I still think it looked cheap /trashy. (my own opinion above, but my own opinion is also, Do what You like if You like how it looks or works)

 

My Si, came with Gold emblems, well they are gone now and I have holes instead. My antenna housing above the plastic part is also colored gold.. =/
