BADBAD NOISE

When im driving or backing up my wheels or axels seem to be making a scratching noise like metal against metal screeching...any ideas? this sounds really bad!!

well it stops when i hit the brakes and its louder when im backing up

brake pads, rubbing dust shields, could be one of a few things.

Your brake pads are worn to the "wear indicator", which is metal strip integrated in the brake pad, indicating the pad is worn and needs to be replaced.
