Bad Idea
Yeah Im wishing I never did this swap.
I went out to start removing the Intake manifold. An I checked the oil just because, and there wasnt any in it. Now I have an idea why I was throwing code 22. No oil pressure for the Vtec solinoid. I have no idea how long its been empty. All I know is that this sucks big time.
As for the fuel injectors, the plastic outer casing on one of the injector tips is cracked off, and probally floating around in the motor.
This sucks I think Im buying a bike until I can get this **** taken care of.

damn dude! im just surprised you cant tell when your car is low on oil. you gotta turn down the radio or something. when was the last time you checked your oil?
I changed it last friday. Im guessing I didnt put the rubber o ring on the oil filter. I think I checked it like two or three days ago. It was low, but I didnt pay it any mind.

And/or your old o-ring could still be on there and you didn't see it to take it off. Sounds silly but it happens.

Okay so thats a big relief. I always think the worst. I had put 1 and half quarts of oil in the motor before I came in and now its up to the fill line.
That was scary that means I had 3 full quarts in there.
Now how bout the fuel injectors being cracked?

Last time I changed my oil I did notice that there was some oil dripping from the area around the oil filer, but didnt pay much attention to it. Yes it was cold but the motor had been driven like 20 mins before. I was on one of my "Professional Stunt Driver" Kicks. So I was running it really hard.

Acid,
why are you taking off the intake mani when you needed to change the oil filter?? or are you on to something else.
Dont jab the screw driver thru the filter to get it off, its a good way to gat metal chipc into the engine as well as ripping the filter can apart.
try a jar opener grip pad if you need more grip, strap wrenches work well too especially the craftsman one with the rubber strap

yeah, the #3 runner.................................
the tool i found can get on it was a box end wrench with one of these 12mm craftsman sockets that fits into a wrench end. that was the only tool i could get on it to tighten it. the #1, #2 you can get at pretty easy from the bottom and the #4 you can get at from the engine bay.

Well this is the senario. I was planning on cleaning the egr ports today and tommorrow. When I went to start last night I checked the oil to see if it was still clean(I was cleaning out the oil with low milage changing), and there wasnt any oil on the stick. I bugged out cause I just did an oil change the week prior. So nowIm thinking that there is one more problem with the aftermath to deal with. So im wishing I never did the swap.
I wasnt sure why it was leaking but Im guessing its from the oil filter. Cause there is where all the oil is in the area. Im hping its no seaping out of the oil cooler.
Well anyway, Im deciding to stop with the cleaning of the egr ports this weekennd and just put the IM back together again, and get some better tools for the next set of days I have off.

If its leaking fromt eh oil cooler its likely the oilcooler Oring, fixing that is honestly no harder than putting on a new filter. You need a 31 or 32mm socket(I cant remember for sure) a rachet for the socket adn a new Oring, the oring is like 3 dollars at the dealer. after you take off the oil filter youll see the oil filter stud and what looks like a large nut, the nut is part of the stud. remove the stud adn the oil cooler will seperate from the block. peel the old oring out of the cooler or off of the block where ever it sticks, lube the new ring with clean motor oil and put it into the groove ont eh cooler, mate the cooler back to the block and replace the stud. tighten the stud down and reinstall an oil filter and your done.
If you need more details let me know, I did this replacement about a year ago in my college appartments parking lot in the dead of wisconsin winter and it was damn cold (-37f)

Luckly I have an extra motor in my lab, so I can pretty much dry run everything I do on it.

Well I did take off the filter and inspect it today. Cleaned off everything behind the engine. And gave it a go. Turned it on and there was a real quick leak so I turned it off and kicked the ground. Got under there and gave it a little more tightening and poof, nothing is leaking for now. Knock on wood, it dont leak no more. No diffrence, Ill be changing the oil hopefully one more time next week, and I hope that will take care of the dirty oil issues.
