Default bad fuel pump?

usually when the fuel pump doesnt prime in our cars, the culprit is a bad main relay or a bad ground, right??? well i tried to run the car this morning, and it would not start (i drive the car every monthor so, just to shake the cobwebs loose)... when i turn the key the engine cranks, but no pump priming and no fuel pressure (i've got a gauge)...

the main relay is clicking, and i tested the plug at the pump with a 3 dollar tester. the tester lights up for a couple seconds after turning the key (when the pump should be priming).

apparantly the main relay is working fine. is it possible that my fuel pump went out? anything else it could be?

i know i've probably answered my own question, its just that i don't think i have ever heard of a fuel pump in a prelude go bad...

fuel pumps a fuel pump, if its an object other than a solid rock it can break and go bad. I'm more of an accord guy, and they go bad in accords... i just put in a 255ml/s last week... its not a bad job if you have an empty tank...
