Hey guys, I noticed driving home the other day, my car started to run a little hot. I got a 92' so its digital and it went up two bars from the normal. Im assuming this is the thermostat, because when traffic picked up, the temp. went back down. Also, when I got home, there was still a radiator fan going. Is that just still going after the car is off to cool it down, or is it not normal? Thanks for suggestions...

 

It could be a bad thermostat, faulty radiator cap, or not enough coolant in your system. Yes it is normal for your fans to come on when your car is shut off, its just cooling your motor down. Since they come on when the car is off i assume they work when the car is running, correct?

 

id agree with him, stat or radiator cap. theyre both pretty cheap parts and easy to do.
