Default axle problem

how much do prelude axles go for? both driver side and passenger side?

do you lose horse power for the car if your axles are bad?

I was going to have this done at the dealer, but a buddy that works in Honda service said they just go to a local store (Advance, Autozone) and buy the lifetime warranty axles since they make so much money on the cores.

I bought mine at Advance on my own, paid $90 each got them installed for $100 (but got a deal cause the shop's compressor broke = took 2 days that they had my car). I got $35 each back from Advance for the core charge for the axles I had switched out.

So, $210 for lifetime warranty axles. Just the labor won't be covered though...

I'd say do it yourself, if you can - wish I still could but no space and no tools.
