Default Autometer Tachometer Installation

I have an Autometer Tachometer with a shiftlight. I have a 1995 Prelude SI. How do I install it, and which wires go where. Any help is greatly needed.....Thanks.

you could get an MSD ignition system that has a tachometer output ternimal. I don't know for sure, but i think you tap into one of the wires that connects to the ignition coil? I think they're green and purple on the 5th gen.

I know the green wire goes to the coil, but what about the tachometer lighting. The installation guide says to wire it to the dash lighting wire, but I'm not sure which wire that is

the green wire goes to the blue wire on the coil. me, i used my fuse box as a power supply. just take one of the fuse out, add the wire, and push the fuse back in. the ground, you can use anything. GL

There should be Three wires, green = coil red to positive black to negitave. When i installed mine i did this, used the positive fed it to the positive wire on my head unit, black to the negitave, and green to the coil. Hope this helps.

i connected the white wire and the red one to the fuze box. anythng else would work just fine too. but the wiring was easier for my since the fuze box is so clost to where my tach was. (stolen )

Has any one tried using the rev testing wire that is located just below the engine bay fuse box. Its got its own little housing, grey plastic cover, and i think it has 1 blue wire running into it. I simply connected the green wire of my tacho to this connector and bingo there was revs. My lude is a Jdm so im not sure if all models come out with this connector but i know my 4th gen 91 Lude has it. It sure takes the hassel out of trying to get the wire from behind the stock rev gauge and the internal ignition coil doesn't exactly make it any easier. So far it has been pritty accurate as well and there are no other symptoms or things that have gone wrong so id say its safe to use, guess thats Honda making things easier for us.
