Default ATTS Disabling Question

I searched around and was wondering, if I disconnect the ATTS and go with boost, is it still possible for the ATTS unit to be damaged? I keep on hearing how people are burning their ATTS out with boost... Yes, I searched and couldn't find anything.

I thought it was possible; however, many people on here told me otherwise. THey say, just pull the relay and you'll be fine.

Err, sorry if my question was vague, but I meant to ask, if I disable the ATTS system so that there aren't any conflicts with boost, is it possible that I can enable the ATTS back up again using the same method that I used to disable it? Is there any way that the ATTS could be damaged due to disabling it and driving hard on the car in the first place?
