ok i found out why the check engine light is going on as well with the atts. i took it to auto zone and he said it was the O2 sensors both of them. so he deleted the code and now both of the lights are off before i jotted down the code. does it mean the atts still doesnt work becuase of the sensors??? please reply back the some help thank you .

 

the o2 sensor code that was cleared has nothing to do with the ATTS system... o2 codes are in the ecm and atts codes should be in a transmission module

 

whenever the CEL comes on the ATTs light comes on to. you should be seeing another visit from the CEL fairy soon, if your O2 sensor is fouled, so the ATTS light will come back on as well.

in both cases, the ATTS is fine.

 

if i get the o2 sensors fixed will it eliminate the atts light, or am i just prolonging the enevitable of having the atts come on again by itself. if the atts does come on again wat am i in for.thanks

 

if nothing is wrong with the atts, once you get the new o2 sensors the light will be gone

You should maybe look into getting an o2 sensor simulator if it keeps happening. i'm not sure the pros & cons of it but i've heard good things so far w/what research i've done. It's worth a shot. good luck

As stated, whenever the CEL comes on, the ATTS light will also come on. Which means your car is in limp mode and the ATTS is temporarily disabled until the CEL is cleared.

 

Did you throw code P0133? I just threw that on Saturday. We checked it, cleared the code, and so far so good. I have a feeling an o2 sensor is in my future, too.

oh also a follow up when im making a turn how can i tell if my ATTS is working proporly and how can i test it ?

 

Turn hard and power into the turn. If you get understeer, its not working.
