ass load of compression
i did a comp tes the other day right after driving it ....i got upwards of 270psi..some 260...i though it must be my shitty gauge...
so i went to my buddies work and they have a snap on gauge so i drove it down the block and just did one cylinder and i peged the gauge at 250.....
what is going on here...and why has my compression gone up since i got the motor....used to be around 220-230....
on that note with that much compression why is my car so dam slow
im hoping it could be build up on the valves cause the pistons look pretty clean since i got the motor

no.not really...i valve seals are if but only do it seldomly.....
other than that i run 5 w 20 moblie 1 and it seems to "use oil"...doesnt burn any while driving

sorry i run 5w30 mobile 1
any other thoughts on this ....thats pretty high reading and im starting to worry about detonation i havent heard any but you never know

have you checked the valve lash? i know when mine were too tight, i had way low compression.
maybe there too loose and not opening all the way.(just taking a guess here)

That wouldn't raise it too much....I have done it both ways, and it wasn't that much different either way, so I just keep the fuse in for ease.
