Default Another timing question.

If you jump your ECU to set your timing on an h23, does that also mean that your timing can't advance or retard while the jumper is attached? So if you have a bad sensor, you could still check your timing....or is that not true?

Um...if you try to adjust the ignition timing without jumping the ECU, the computer will try adjust the timing itself against your adjustments. If you jump the ECU, then you can freely adjust the timing yourself.

What sensor do you mean?
