Default Another H22A Idle Problem.

My new lude has been doing this since i bought it- previous owners didn't know what it was. Anyways the idle is very very low at startup, thats the only problem. Lets me rev to its normal rev limit *7400 which i dont take it there a lot*, vtec works fine. When i turn on the car it shakes bad cuz of the low idle but if i gas it up a bit to about 700-800rpm it sounds/feels fine. Here is a pic to show where its idling.

Now see i wouldn't be posting this if i knew what the code was- but there is no check engine light. I read somewhere it might be related to the EGR code- anyone else have this problem? At first i thought it was timing but after i talked to the guy who did the swap- he said he had it timed perfect at 700 i beleive and it wouldn't shake the way it did. Anyone?

Always start with the basics, timing, spark advance, fuel filter, spark plugs/gap, EGR ports, air intake system, timing. Then get into it deeper, does it have an aftermarket fuel system, are you running stage 3 cams(lol) hows the tension on the timing bels. does it have aftermarket cam gears?

thanx for that- since im going out of town this weekend i cant really fix it- and i work all week but i need to make time for this. i was definately thinking it was timing so im going to check into that, going to replace all the sparkplugs- make sure the wires are fine- the fuel filter has been replaced, egr ports? BTW i dont know if this is true but a friend said i dont need the EGR- can just just make a block off plate- im a total noob so...yeah. nothing really aftermarket on my car would affect the idle lol and definately no cams under there. Its just intake-headers-catback. Other than the idle the car feels and pulls fine- doesn't sputter or backfire or anything like that so im stumped. but thanx

EGR - exhaust gas recirculation

That motor has ports on it that can get a build up of **** in them and can really affect the idle, the acura 3.2 and 3.5 V6 motors have a huge promblem with that, Some times H and F series motors do to.

Well today the car gave me good news/bad news. Good news first- the idle fixed- it now steadily idles at 600-700 rpm while the ac is still on, yay
bad news- the air isn't cold I already searched and posted- man i hope its an easy fix.

bb1, i didn't do anything to fix my idle. As soon as the ac stopped blowing cold air- the idle was steady at 800rpm. More bad news- went to turn the car on this morning, nothing. It has gas, has battery, doesn't start. Man i just bought this car- it was working fine before i got it, guess its my curse huh.
types- thanx man im gonna search it right now.

BB1- i am sure cleaning the iacv might work- if you cant locate it i will be more than happy to snap a pic of it- its not at all hard to get to man.
