Am I Screwed??????????????
hey guys im putting my h22a into my 97 prelude anyone no wat order you put the mounts in or mount it in because i cant get the tranny mount in with the mount bracket attached to the motor but i cant jus mount it in then put the bracket on cuz it has a sleeve it slides into? if that dosnt make sense ill try to explain a little better but if anyone knows the order or how to get it all mounted and **** please let me know. also my dad cross threaded the side mount (two bolts, mount attached to engine) wat should i do about that cus it is literaly screwed? thanks in advance
im lost as to what you are saying...
from what I gathered, you are swapping motors, and can't get the trany mount in, but I have no clue why? care to elaborate a tad bit more, a picture would make a world's of difference

ok the transmission mount is two pieces. one piece is the bracket and one is the mount. the mount hooks up to the frame and the bracket hooks up to the engine. with the motor sitting in the engine bay with the bracket the bracket blocks you from screwing the three nuts in to attach the mount to the frame. but if you take the bracket off and screw the mount in the mount will block the bracket from being able to slide back on. is that better sry no pics i dont have a digital camera.

sorry, didnt read that, he was talking about a braket on the frame and ****, dude had me lost. I was thinking it was a 2 piece mount, much like the hasport mounts for the h22...

anyways, just keep maneuvering it. put it in with the mount unbolted, the use a jack to rest the tranny side on, bolt the mount to the tranny, but dont fully tighten th bolts, the line the hole on the mount with the bracket on the frame rail...

do you have a tap and die kit?
if we are talking about the same location, its the nut welded on the mount thats stripped?

ill describe so we are straight. right side, not the two pieces that form together and attach to frame but the flat piece sticking off the right side with two places to have the mount attach. left is a bolt sticking about 3 inches high that a nut is screwed onto and the right place were the mount can be attached is a threaded hole were you screw a bolt in and both thread and bolt are crossthreaded and jus demolished. no i dont have one of those kits. is that the only option?
a tap and die can fix your crossthreaded problems, Im still lost as to what you are talking about. pictures will do wonders, but you have already stated, no camera...

punch your dad in the head, lol...
just when you tap it, make sure to use the same thread pitch as before...
