Default Alternator Question????

I have a 88 Prelude. My alternator keeps dying because I have a pretty big stereo in the car. Any suggestions on any brands of alternator that has a large amperage...much bigger than 65amps like the oem ones?

ok first all you need a really good battery..... over here in socal there are some alternator and starter shops that can modify the oem alternator and make it put out more amps....not sure if they do that in canada ..... check out your local alternator and starter shops.... hope that was helpful ....good luck

do you have a cap?

good battery helps yes...

i dont know of any alternators that will just replace the oem one unfortnuately...having a 2 battery setup might be an option.
