well when i rev up my engine and let the tac come back down the interior lights and headlights dim for a second then go up and some times they stay dim. Is this from the alternator dieng or my idle maybe to low?. I also have a capasitor for my radio system inn the trunk not sure if that can cause it.

If i need to buy a new one is there a certain one i should get or stock is fine?

sounds like your alt is going... OEM replacements are fine.
