Default AFC HACK

i got my car running with the afc hack last thursday and when i hit vtec it would loose a ton of power. it wasnt running lean or rich so im not sure what was causing this. so i raised vtec up as high as it would go and it runs great. has anyone else had this problem? i want be able to play with it for a while because someone decided to ruin my christmas and break into my car christmas eve.

maybe because you were trying to hit v-tech and not vtec.

sounds like you had vtec set way to low.

How do u know it was losing a ton of power? Theres no for sure way to know, unless you have a dyno sheet? Also how do you know your not running to lean or rich? Any AF plots? And also raising the "vtech" as high as you can go, just doesnt sound right to me.

yeah i can feel it with my butt dyno its a huge difference like i said. i wasnt thinking about what i was typing and i missed spelled vtec, so what, i was asking one question not how to spell vtec. this forum is here to help people with their cars not to teach them how to spell. anyway thanks to all the people who try and answer peoples questions and are not out there trying to make every person who makes a typing mistake look like an idiot. even if someone makes a really dumb post about whether the nitrous kit with the fast and the furious stickers on it is better, you should at least try and steer them in the right direction before you bash them, maybe they really dont know any better. thats just my 2 cents

You have a point.. but if you really put v-tech, it takes your fingers a little longer to hit that " - " symbol and add the h at the end. I cannot see how anyone who looks under their hood can mispell that badly. It specifically says VTEC on the valve cover. If we really wanted to bash you, we could say you need to know how to capitalize the first letter on each sentence. Don't get so defensive on the internet, afterall it is the internet. If you really want to lower the setting of VTEC engagement and seem to be having troubles with it, take it to a place that has a dyno, and they can dyno tune it for you.
