Advancing ignition timing?

Advancing ignition timing?
I have a 3rd gen Lude Si (see sig), which way do I turn the distributor to advance it? Damn Honda motors turning the wrong way. 
Do I turn it towards the firewall or the rad to advance it?
No timing light needed, if I hear a ping I turn it back

While looking at the distributor from the passenger side: Clockwise-retard, Counterclockwise-advance.

Just extract a little more power from it, I ran 87 octane a week ago expecting a ping with the NOS, but nothing, so I'll just bump it up a little.
This is my daily driver, I know there are better(re: safer) ways to make power, but I'm not spending any more money on this car.
