Default ABS Light On???

Hey Whats up guys, Im new to the Board, but Ive had my 92' Prelude for about a year and just dropped and H22 in it about 3 months ago. Running great...Thank God. But my question is, I was driving the other day and i went to slow down and my ABS dash light came, I thought it was odd and maybe just a fuse. Changed out the Fuse and it went out. Next day...It did it again. Anyone have any suggestions?

you should be able to jumper the dianostic plug and the ABS lgiht will flash just like the CEL light. Cross-reference and it should hold your answer

>> This atleast holds true for the 5th gen, and even if you erase the ECU's memory, it still seems to retain the ABS info

If your brake light is on (right under the abs light) it will set it off. After a certain amount of time of the brake light being on, the abs light will turn on. Try checking the e brake wire and see if it is grounding itself.

Not true, it could be the ABS relay, or the whole control unit its self (which is what went in my place, and I wasn't going to pay $800 for something I don't care for anyhow.. atleast not in the snow)

man this happened to me too, i went to honda and they wanted something like $1200 to fix it, they concluded that the whole ABS moduoule was shot, F#@K that ****. but anyway the real bitch of it was that i bought a new ABS module and was planning on when i would have time to install it and the damn light went out, and never came back on. ABS works perfectly and everything. that was about a year ago now. anyway if you need a ABS module i have a spare one i will well to ya

I have the same problem, but my light wont turn on untill it sounds like something is done cycling. It sounds like a small pump, or electric motor, and it comes from under the passenger side dash. Everytime I start the car, it starts, then I hear the pump (or whatever it is) begin to cycle, it cycles for about 5-10 seconds then stops, at which point the ABS light comes on.

Anybody have any insight to offer me?
