Default 96 automatic tranny problems

I just got a 96 Prelude S a few months ago and it was running fine. However tonight the transmission stuck. It goes into R, N, D4 and D3, however It wont shift out of those gears, meaning I cant get into park...meaning my keys are stuck in the goddamn car. Ive got it in neutral with the parking break on right now. What do you guys think the problem could be? The fluid was a little low so i replaced that. Ive noticed though when I try to switch gears the engine jerks foward a little. Its 4 in the morning and i have to be at work in 4 and a half hours. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

There's a button and solenoid for entering and leaving Park. I thought there was a lockout mechanism for reverse too though.

If you have an extra key, use the keyhole by the shift lever. Put your extra key there and put the car in park, and remove the key from the ignition.

I knew about that, but thanks for the suggestion. What im really looking for is a reason why its locking.

EDIT: I took a look at it this morning (dont try to fix **** at 3 AM, in the dark) and as it turns out the linkage...i guess thats what its called, that little steel pin that locks into gear was bent the expletive up. A little brute force with some pliers and voila. I think my girlfriend kicked it when we were...yeah...anyway its fixed now, thanks for the (single) suggestion.
