Default 95 Vtec Problem....Please Help!

Heres the deal,
In Canada right now the winter weather is brutal. My car unfortunately is driven in this crap. It is really low and is on summer tires! Any way the problem is that every once in a while Ill stop at a light and the car will idle really low and shake (tremble) It will sit at like 600 rpm and just vibrate like there is no oil in it or something. I know that right now there is a hole in the catalytic converter and mabey in other parts of the exhust too. Is this what is causing the low idle?, Is it the cold? Whats up with my ride?

Any suggestions or solutions would be great
Thanks

Wish I could help you... I would say its a combination of all of the above... Rev ur engine a lil, very lil and see if it settles back down and shakes more... If it does I would look at several things.... First off, ya the exhaust might help it... The cold... You might wanna look at ur timing too.... Are you advanced, retarded, right on? I would adjust that a little to get a better riding rpm.... I dunno about the extreme cold and if it causes these things, but you could slightly adjut the timing for the winter to help it run smoother... That might work.... I dunno... See the other suggestions... And, its not hard to spend 5 minutes tinkering with it at idle till it gets smoother... Maybe, your missing a engine mount? I think the idle will help or work though....

just go under the hood on the throttle body there is a screw, and up your idle...my accord is sitting at about 500 right now, and is shaking. It has some to do with the cold weather too.
