Default 95 Vtec headers removal problems

Tryed taking out my stock headers however I had some problems getting them off. I noticed that they have a bracket on the sides of the header tried to take the bolts off but
All i pretty much done was started to strip the bolts. I got off 2 of the 3 bolts that connect the top portion of the header to the lower part of the header but stripped 1 bolt.
Since I have a bad problem with stripping bolts should I just take it to a shop so they can get it out or drill out the bolts? Or just call it a day and leave it the hell alone?

Do Not just leave it alone! You are gonna get leaks and it will sound mike crap!

Did you spray first with PB BLAST?

My bolts were VERY difficult also but I did get them out eventually (without stripping them)

I would definatelly go to HONDA and get some new bolts for replacements no matter what! While your there you should go ahead and pickup a few extra 14mm and some 10mm and 12mm bolts and NUTS to keep onhand.

Remember whenever working with any part of the exhaust to spray ahead before even attempting to remove them.

I layed under my car and held my 1/2 drive Craftsman ratchet with 8in extension on the bolt while a friend used a lever (big pole) to crank mine loose.

Good Luck

See if you can get a air ratchet or impact gun inthere.

And dont forget to use some anti seize compound when you put the bolts back in, So that next time its easier to remove them.

those things are ******* cool. I had to take use them once on the exhaust manifold on my 4G63 and they were the coolest tools ever...

...except for my cordless Snap-On impact gun...that thing gives me a boner everytime I use it.
