My car died, I had it towed home and changed the main/fuel relay, the car started twice so I thought it was fixed until it died again the next day. now I've changed the cap and rotor, it started again for about 10 seconds then died again and I can't get it started,what's the deal?

 

What happen when it died, engine code, is it turning over and just not firing ? (wrr wrr wrr wrr) Have you taken out any spark plugs and looked at them?

Ya I've replaced the spark plugs , it turned over yestersay after I replaced the Rotor and Distributer Cap, 1st try it started just fine and was idling smooth for about 10 seconds then it just cut out without stumbling and wouldn't start again. do you know how to check the codes.

 

It's your igniter. It is located inside the distributor. I would get a whole new distributor.

 

You seem so sure, have you had the same problem. I just want to be sure, the igniter is like $300. What about the Ignition Coil?
