I own a 1993 SI with a 2.3 Litre DOHC (non VTEC) engine. At one time, a mechanic showed me that the engine had a 220 HP rating. The info was on a spec plate located on the underside of the hood. I am told that that engine only puts out 160 HP. I have since replaced the hood and can't prove what I know I saw. Were there any motors rated at 220 HP in that model/ year?

Re: (ttownrex)
93 Si's are rated at 160hp, they are non VTEC. (Unless you have a genius boyfriend who can mount the head of a H22a onto you H23a block, then you would have 2.3l VTEC)
