89mm ring gaps
My machine shop gapped my rings to big and i was wondering does this have a risk of to much blow by or blowing up soon after it is built and tuned ?

Re: 89mm ring gaps
Sometimes it takes more than 10 minutes for someone to reply. Anyway, how big are they gapped? Gapped too big doesn't tell me enough. If it's slightly too much then it shouldn't be an issue

Did the machine shop have the paperwork that should have come with the pistons that says this? Call Weisco and see what they say. If they say it will be a problem, complain to the machine shop

Use this to figure it out. Im sure it is about the same for your weisco pistons also. The gaps seem too big and you should probably get new ones unless you are trying to run like 600+hp the those gaps sound kinda close.
