Posting for a friend (I don't have a Prelude, yet ).

He wants to know where the ECU for the 4WS is on a 5G Prelude (97-01).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

I dont know about 5th gen but 4th gen is mounted to the back of the rear seats so that is where i would look. I'm sure they didnt want to put it too far away from the system.

 

5th gen 4ws ecu is mounted in the trunk behind the trunk liner to the right side as you face the trunk, you have to remove the button fixes and peel the liner back to see it. Its an aluminium cast box approx 10" square fixed by three bolts to the metal framework.
