he probably will never make a 5th gen one, the plastic base and all arent compatible....but, you could always just find a 4th gen baseplate and get it, that would bolt right up....

That sucks, but it still wont stop me from getting one and doing this.
I'm assuming someone has done this, C'mon dude, chime in and let us know how it went.

thats gay.. if you have a 5th gen just get a PSPEC short shifter. I have one + spoon titanium shift **** and it is by far one of the best products you can get for your money. I had that neuspeed crap before and it sucks wallabe nutz compared to the PSPEC.

Nope, no plans. I refuse to make a short shifter that requires you to "break" your stock unit apart for install. And it would be too costly to produce a shifter/base plate combo.
FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE GROUPBUY: I stronglly suggest you don't all just go out and put it on the top position. I suggest leaving your console off. Put it on the bottom, go drive for a bit. Put it on the middle, go drive for a bit. Put it on the top, go drive for a bit. Then decide which you like the best for daily driving and go with that. I think you'll find that the middle is the best for daily driving.

I don't know if this has been posted yet, but leaving the setting on the shortest setting over a long period of time will ruin the shift cables by binding them. I would say it's ok to use it once in a while for instances such as auto-x or track racing, but the middle setting is best IMO for daily driving.

Re: (buffalo wings)
Very untrue. It does add more stress to the cables, but only at the point they attach to the front of the baseplate. You will not ruin your shift cables by installing my short shifter. But like I tell people, I like the middle for daily driving and only used the top on some occasions. But thats why its adjustable, put it where YOU want it.

Hey, I have a 1992 Honda ACcord. I am interested in buying one of these shifters. I purchased a stock 4th gen prelude baseplate, haven't installed it yet tho. Can I use my accord cables with this base plate? And if I install the 4Bidden SS on the plate, will the cables hit the console in my 1992 Accord? Thanks.
