4 Distributors and still same problem.
My car didn't start so I had a mechanic do a compression check. I was at work, but he said he did. He said compression was fine and he recommended me to change the dizzy. As he was taking the wires off he was struggling. He didn't know you had to take off the clip that the wires hold on too. I wonder now if he didn't even unhook the dizzy and he might of done some damage to the coil? My symptoms is a bouncy tach followed by the car stalling. Put on a new dizzy that made my car run good for a few hours then the tach started to bounce. It bounced like that for a few days without the car stalling or shutting off. I got a new dizzy, yes brand new from buyautoparts. And put it on. Still, same symptoms. Put on the old one that had the bouncy tach but the car didn't stall and this time it stalled? Went back to autozone and got a replacement and same thing. It's driving me nuts. I'm starting to think It's not the dizzy. What are the odds on 4 distributors being faulty. I can't afford a new car right now and I need this car to get to work. So in the meantime I need to get this fixed. Does this sound like a coil? Thanks guys
sounds like a bad ground. clean and tighten all of the grounds in the engine bay; the battery, vc and/or IM, and harness ground on or near the water outlet.
I would be cxhecking plugs, wires and rotor.
When you replaced the dizzy did you replace all the components? I know that once on my gf old integra we bought a cheap canadian tire brand distributor and it caused allsorts of issues; we ended up buyying the oem unit form acura and repalced the wires and pugs and presto issue resolved.
We had stalling issues at mid rpm, high rpm misfires, hard hard cold starts, and random shut downs.

Guys, I got closer to the problem. While the key was turned on the D4 light or CEL didn't come on. So I went to my engine bay and heard a crackling noise. I moved the main ground on the thermostat housing and boom I would hear fuel pressure. That ground is bad or dirty. It explains my ECU not getting power since It's clearly not being grounded correctly. How can I clean it?
Problem solved. It was the main ground under the thermostat housing. It wasn't tight. Cleaned it a bit and tightened it up and boom, no more bouncing tach and D4 and CEL light up every-time now.

sandpaper is the best ground cleaner, followed by simply wiping with a clean rag.
