Default 3rd Gen Questions....

I might be picking up a 90 Prelude SI, for basically free this weekend. Ive owned a 94 Civic EX, and a 96 Integra GSR - and mod'd both....so I know some stuff - but I was more wondering if theres anything I should be looking for or wondering about the 3rd Gen Prelude specificially.

Also, its an AUTO, blah.....so do I have any tranny swap options?

so far the only other tranny that will bolt up to those motors is from a third gen. it will be a time consuming and costly (unless you can do it yourself) swap. you will need to get the whole pedal assembly, the master cylinder, slave cylinder, shifter assembly, shifter cables, tranny, clutch, flywheel, hydrolic hose and mounts, etc etc etc. lots of parts are needed to convert it. as far as what to look for, make sure the oil pan is not dented. there is very little clearance on the bottom of the engine internals and the bottom of the oil pan. you can do serious damage if that oil pan is dented. other than that, just look for the usual things for a car. if you really want lots of information on that gen prelude, go to hondaprelude.com.
