1993 Prelude VTEC prices? Is this a good deal?
hey, my friend is offering me his dad's 1-owner 1993 120k mi vtec prelude for $7000. it's been garaged for over half it's life and the interior parts are faded from parking outside (at his dad's work). the odometer broke and was replaced (but it's 1-owner and they know the exact mileage, it's documented). Oil has always been castrol 10w30 organic. It's been run lightly its whole life, never really run hard. The power antenna stays up and does not go down.
other than that the car is in excellent mechanical condition and great aesthetic condition (little things need to be changed). how much is this worth? it's 1-owner, always been taken care of, never wrecked, etc. there are no problems with it. i just want a really good deal and he is asking private party, which i think is kind of high (edmunds).
please let me know what you think i should be paying
are there any problems i should be watching out for that may be hidden (mechanical)
sorry this isn't posted in the other forum, but it's a pretty detail-specific question and i need all the opinions of the 4gen prelude owners i can get. i'm worried that few of the owners will read it in the forum where veryone asks "is this a good deal for an AEM intake?"

its got a lot of miles so try to talk him down. but if he knows how rare the car is i dont know if he will budge. personally i wouldnt spend that much money on a car with over 100k
I paid 11k for mine with 40k miles, but it was really mint. I would have been jumped at $7k. Nobody ever said you couldn't drop a new engine in it in a year.
