1988 Prelude ----ECU CODE HELP
wha?
the check engine light is on on my uncles car, and i wanna check to see what codes it's throwin out..
but i can't figure out where the wires are that i need to clip together...
i know that on my old EK it was on the pass. side by the ecu, and on my EF it in the engine bay (driver side) but i can't find it on this prelude...
do these old preludes even have this??

On 3rd gen Preludes you do NOT need to jumper anything to read the codes. Pull down the carpet on the Passenger side (right side) and you will see the clear plastic window.
Turn the ignition on without starting the car. The red led will blink out the trouble code/s.

I'm hoping someone can tell me where I'm looking wrong. I have a third generation 88 Prelude 2.0 SI and my check engine light comes on randomly sometimes almost as soon as I start the vehicle up I really would like to get to the bottom to find out what is causing it to come on as I've already spent a ridiculous amount of money swapping out parts that thinking it could fix it and it doesn't. When I pull back my carpet on the passenger side I see the piece of metal that covers the transmission computer and the ECU but there is no plastic window or an LED light is flashing I've tried both would just ignore Shane key on and with the car running with the CEL lifht on... I have attached pictures of all corners of this area is someone can point to me where I'm looking wrong and maybe find this so-called LED lights it would certainly be appreciative. Even my local Honda dealer can no longer check this because they don't have the equipment to do so. One of my best friends works in the service department at my local Honda dealership and he himself tried to find a way for me and was not able to. If anyone with ideas of how I can figure out why the light is coming on, please email me at djgreg1972@gmail.com
why am I not able to locate this so-called Clear Window on my passenger floorboard? I have an 88 2.0 SI
