how come everyone that i talk to about sportbikes is brainwashed by saying "oh your gonna die" or "they are too dangerous". is that all that people think about sportbikes now adays..that crap is starting to make me turn away from biking

 

people say that because they're scared and probably have never ridden a bike, and for those that have and still say that have either wrecked, or are just telling you because you shouldn't get one. there are some people that just don't belong on a bike, and those that do. i've got one, and i tell people that because it is dangerous. drivers in cars just don't see you or pay any attention to you because bikes are so small, there have been numerous times where cars have cut me off because they didn't see me. you just have to be really alert when you drive a bike as compared to a car. just my 2 cents.

 

sportbikes are cool and all....i mean they seem fun to ride...but from what i hear they are uncomfortable to ride long distances...hehehe ive just recently gotten into the chopper looks...they seem cool but at first glance all i seen was dirty old men with 4foot beards riding them...go figure..hehehe

 

they dont want your death on their conscience if you die. the whole point is that motorcycling is a big responsibility and everyone gets sucked into it cause it looks cool and fun (and it is) but there is a big price to pay for not riding responsibly / getting trained / wearing the right gear / being in the right state of mind when riding.

 

so it's pretty much ok if you are responsible enough to ride smart and safe to get a bike?

 

and take msc..DEFINATELY!

 

yeah...and i can tell you i personally wasnt capable of that until i was in my 20s.

 

yea i dont plan on it till im in my 20's either
